City of York HQ – West Offices

As part of a detailed planning application, we were appointed to produce landscape architectural consultancy services to support a planning application for the new City of York Council’s headquarters in York. The project focused on the £32million renovation of York’s original railway station at West Offices, securing a new future for the Grade II* listed building. The project achieved a BREEAM excellent rating and since its completion, the project has won a number of awards for its architectural innovation and heritage conservation. Landscape proposals included; new central arrival courtyard, high quality planting proposals, new staff & visitor car parking, cycle parking provision, integration of new public artwork and enhanced public realm setting responding to the  historical context.
