Recent ProjectBoughton House
The extensive Grade I park and garden at Boughton was laid out in the late 17th and 18th centuries. It has altered little since then although during the past decade it has undergone significant restoration and enhancement. Buccleuch Estates, the owners, appointed TLA to prepare a detailed management plan funded with the support of Natural England. A ten year programme of works included restoration of canals (see photograph), lakes and fountains and a series of other projects including a new car park. Kim Wilkie added an award-winning new garden – Orpheus – which compliments brilliantly the formal landscape that surrounds it.
