The Boughton Estate

The Landscape Agency was appointed by the Boughton Estate, to design landscape proposals and submit a planning application for a new visitor car park. Extensive consultation with the client team, local authority, English Heritage and the Garden History Society was undertaken during the initial stages of the project. A car park options appraisal was carried out to assess various locations within the estate to establish the preferred car park location.

The final design was orientated to integrate with the existing landform and surrounding landscape features. Natural materials and sympathetic treatments were specified to compliment the historic setting of the house.

Planning approval was granted in January 2012 and works on site are to begin Spring 2012.
