Matthew Wilson

Matthew Wilson joined the Landscape Agency as Associate Director of Design in November 2009. He had spent the previous ten years working for the Royal Horticultural Society as Curator of Hyde Hall, Essex (2000 - 2004), Curator at Harlow Carr (2004 - 2008) ands latterly as Head of Gardens Creative Development. He transformed both gardens during his tenure at each one. He is a designer, horticulturalist and has been instrumental in developing horticultural programmes in areas of high unemployment.

Matthew is also a well-respected garden writer, broadcaster, designer and lecturer. Over the past few years Matthew's profile has grown significantly through increasing work in the media which includes a series for Channel 4 due to be screened in Spring 2010 entitled 'Landscape Man'.

Matthew also writes regularly for The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, Country Life, and Gardens Illustrated. In 2010 he will contribute regularly to BBC Gardener's World. He lectures extensively on sustainable horticulture, planting design and wildife and gardening. His book New Gardening; How to Garden in a Changing Climate was awarded Practical Book of the Year 2007.
