Thompsons Walls

The Landscape Agency were commissioned to work with the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group to work up an estate-wide masterplan, reverting coniferous plantations back to deciduous woodland, designing and locating a new lake and drawing up management regimes, under the auspices of the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme to support increased biodiversity, ensure the prosperity of the farmed estate and conserve the stunning scenery.

The existing farmstead is to be refurbished, including the design of new traditional Northumberland farmhouse, designed by architects Reid Jubb Brown. Sustainability is key, and our detailed landscape proposals around the farmstead serve to not only provide it with a beautiful setting, looking out over the rolling hills, but also cater for the treatment of waste water, the integration of wind power, and possibilities for hydro-electric plant in association with a new lake.
