West Winch, Norfolk

The Landscape Agency was engaged by Woolley to produce a landscape led masterplan which aims to provide a strategy for the development of the village of West Winch as part of a wider Draft Site Allocation document. The existing village has developed along the busy A10 and has resulted in a number of conflicts between the pedestrian and vehicular users of the road.

We worked as part of a multi-disciplinary project team on behalf of a number of landowners to ensure that the new neighbourhoods are of the highest design quality, with a strong Norfolk character which focuses on a redefined village hub. The local character will be enhanced by incorportating the character of the wider landscape, with a series of green links established to bring the fenland edge character into the heart of the village.
