Yorkshire Sculpture Park

The Landscape Agency has recently completed the restoration and enhancement of the Upper Lake, Menagerie Wood Inlet and associated historic landscape features at Yorkshire Sculpture Park following recommendations made in the Landscape Management Plan for the 500-acre estate.

The project has opened the lakes and pleasure ground features to the public for the first time and is assisting Yorkshire Sculpture Park in removing the landscape from English Heritages 'At Risk' designation.

A series of strategic tree removal, thinning and pruning projects were undertaken to ensure safety of trees within the public domain, supported with a programme of sensitive repairs to the historic pleasure ground features to enhance the immediate setting and reconnect, Bretton Hall, the Country Park, lakes, woodland and associated features within the wider landscape setting as part of the original C18 pleasure ground experience.
