Meet Patrick James

Biography

Patrick founded the Landscape Agency in 1998. As a landscape consultant he has been involved in a wide range of regeneration, design, restoration and conservation projects. Over the past seven years he has been increasingly involved in the concept of landscape led masterplanning and design of new villages, towns and urban extensions.

Patrick’s work has resulted in unlocking grants for more than £70 million for landscape related projects across the UK. As lead consultant and landscape consultant at Hackfall, North Yorkshire, the project secured a ‘Grand Prix’ Europa Nostra Award for Landscape Conservation.

Patrick has worked closely with Andrew Cameron, David Hill and Nigel Dunnett on many projects.

Patrick has been appointed by DEFRA to sit as a Member of the North Yorks Moors National Park Authority.
